No really, it's a word. I swear.
OK, maybe not, but it seems an appropriate one to start a fun, meaningless bit of frivolity that this blog promises to be.
I've heard that blogs are less hip these days. What's the point of a blog, when you can put all of your silly, insipid little thoughts on twitter or as facebook statuses, where instantly your friends can know exactly what your thinking at any given moment of the day? And how ego-centric is this blogging stuff anyway, to think that people care enough about your life enough to want to read entire articles and blog entries about it?
Heck, I understand all of that, believe me: I've probably even thought it a time or two.
So this blog isn't going to be about me. SEE?! Not at all ego-centric!
Here's the project: For 1-year exactly I shall be posting a photo/story a day. It will most likely be joyful/humorous/slightly frivolous in nature, as I think the world has enough doom and gloom without me adding more to it on a farfenblatt-type blog. There are so many wonderful things happening in this big bright beautiful planet of ours that we should be talking about! So this will be a place for all of those things to reside.
1 story + photo a day. 365 stories/photos.
Oy vey, that's daunting. But I shall prevail!
